Congdon’s to reopen dining room, with some changes in service

WELLS, Maine — The Congdon’s Doughnuts Family members Cafe and Bakery will reopen its indoor seating shortly. The owners are getting ready their clients for a several modifications they will experience when they try to eat inside of the beloved Route 1 restaurant.

On the restaurant’s Fb page, Gary and Diane Leech reported they do not have a “solid date” set for the reopening but will have a new system in spot as soon as they do. Currently, the cafe is only operating its travel-by way of services and presenting takeout, Thursdays through Sundays, from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.

“Outside of the clear facelift, you will see 1 somewhat considerable transform — we will no lengthier be providing table provider or a separate menu for the dining room,” the Leeches wrote, referring to recent remodeling at the site.

Rather, diners will location their buy at the front counter and obtain their own seat in the dining room or on the patio, or at a single of the numerous picnic tables exterior.

In accordance to the Leeches, the restaurant’s new “quick service” menu will include things like a “number of the same favorites” buyers have appreciated in the dining room in advance of: Honey Dip French toast, home made corned beef hash, breakfast burritos and sandwiches, and new breakfast bowls.
